I have got to thank jimmy (bucky) for all he has done over four years
We have hunted in rain high winds heat and smoke
this morning was the best weather i have ever hunted in blount county.
Had a buck come in behind me at first light do in some thick stuff then had a yote come down from top of the hill and ran the buck off
about 20 minutes later had a 4 point come in ... i had some easy shots but hee hawed about shooting him
2 buck limit saved him. i always saved my 3 tag for east tn
when i decided to kill him he caught my movement.
saw 2 does no shot ...dang east tn woods
i was kinda bummed about passing that buck cause i really wanted to checked off blount county
we all went to lunch jimmy wild bill (wgk) and jimmy's bud rick
jimmy had to drop wild bill off so me and rick went back to the farm
walking in rick spotted a big ole doe in the thickett
she was about 50-70 yds deep in i got her in the scope bang
and like that it was done
she had a lil ground shrinkage
but i will say this folks in middle tn and west tn have not a clue what hunting east tn is like ... it is a challenge
i have more money in this lil thing than you can shake a stick at
but the hunt is not about the kill it is about the experience
i would not trade all the walking sitting in the worst weather i have ever hunted in all the good eating and fellowship with great people for any dang big buck
I got to see ric and andy model 70 man and kimber man wed we had wings and beer always great to see them
i think we will put in of oakridge next year and try to get anderson county
rick jimmys buddy had a place in scott county we will try that as well
i can not thank jimmy enough especially for letting me hunt with his buddy rick who actually put me on deer unlike the 3 years before :) :)
just a great time and got to watch my favorite plane fly over a few time
