well on Thursday I talked to the property manager for some land very close to my house. He is tired of deer causing damage to expensive ornamentals and other stuff and wants them thinned out. So on Friday morning I sat in a tree where I thought a few deer might show, but none ever did. Around midday, I set my climber on another tree where deer come out of the woods to a field in the evening, and that is where it payed off. First a button buck came out 5 minutes after climbing the tree. Should have shot to thin the herd, but I wanted a doe pretty bad and let him walk. Then about an hour later, 4 or 5 does and fawns came out and I drew back twice but could not get a shot, since they all went directly under me. Then within an hour or so after that, a lone doe came out and gave me a quartering away shot. She took off on the death run and I heard her crash. Then about 30 minutes later, 3 more does/fawns came out. I drew back on one, but couldn't hardly see through the peep sight because it was getting too dark.
Tracked her down pretty quick
The arrow passed through and fell out of her after she ran about 10 yards.
Was a pretty intense angle - here is the entry:

When gutting her, I felt a big hole in the middle of the heart. I hit where I was aiming, but due to the angle, got the stomach too. Lots of acorn pieces in there.
Dressed about 110 lbs or so, but dang that gut pile was a good size too. I didn't get the best angle view of the teeth but I think she was 3.5.
