Talk about a great day of hunting
Got up 0300 and headed to Wayne county to hunt with my buddy possum and take him 2 ladder stands. We had a great visit but didnt see any deer.
I had the opportunity to meet a member and hunt with muddyboots and his wife.
We met up and headed to his place and on the walk in saw a doe and button. Some would say stalked but we kinda just walked up to 20 yard in some thick stuff and the 7 saum ... as always deadly she never took a step.
Hardin checked off. Got her gutted and loaded up and took advantage of the 1430 early kill so we sat and talked for a while, I thought about heading home since it was a long drive but Brett did not have an issue with thining some does out. So i eased on to the shooting house about 1600. Well shortly afterwards the next old girl eased out. I watched her for a while and thought i break my own rule about trying to self video. I am no catman lol. Well deer 299 made it to the big screen lol. As ole Game eye and viper would say .... i made her jaw drop with the 7 saum 162 a max 3067 fps
Got her loaded up and the yotes started to howl and the text from his wife came in " come get me "
Apparently she is not a fan of the coyote
Killing deer is fun
hunting is different counties in tn is fun
but the real fun is meeting some great people and just talking hunting and life
it does not get any better.
It dont always happen when you are trying to kill a deer on a single hunt but when it does it is awesome
it take a lot of time and money to travel all over to shoot a dang doe not to mention my schedule and the host schedule ... but we made it happen on kinda spur of the moment.
It was a true pleasure to meet brett and his wife ... great people

on the way home the gps told me to go one way and i did not want to go that way i knew 641 was just past olive hill and it will run to 40
apparently i was speeding in clifton tn and was pulled over by the chief of narcotics for the sheriffs office
As he approached my hand were in plain sight on the wheel as i informed him i have loaded 357 in my pocket
He asked was that the only loaded weapon in the truck as from the deer in the bed I had been hunting. I stated i have 2 unloaded rifles one was a 458 socom with a suppressor on an ar platform.
He aske where i had been hunting I stated hardin county he stated you mean wayne county
I said no sir hardin. He said hardin is ahead of the direction you are coming from. I am having a hard time believing you

he is now sir there is this web site tn deer. com (plug just for you ruger) i post on there and i killed a big buck back in 2011 so i care less about hunting bucks instead i am trying to kill a deer in every county in .. so brett is a member i met him in olive hill we went like left then 10 miles later left again. I have one of the kills on video

he was an avid turkey hunter and has kinda gave up on the deer
we had a great talk and i slowed it down on the way home
