I try to convert old mallards into divers every couple years. In the last I've just done generic looking "bluebills" but am thinking I'll take a run at some cans this year. Sprayed down the old decoys yesterday with the spray in bed lined from rust oleum.
Anybody done this and have a color recommendation for the head?

I also watched a surviving duck season video on YouTube and he painted some old mallards into snow geese. That's pretty intriguing.
