Was cruising Ebay this morning and found one of these NIB for $156 shipped so grabbed it: Frankford arsenal Platinum Series Rotary Tumbler 7L with stainless media.
Everything I read about these style of cleaners has been positive but if you have any tips on using them I would appreciate it.
Looks like I will be saying goodbye to my walnut media and all the dirt and grit.
 
I have one of them and they go a great job. I use a shot of the cheap car wash and wax and a pinch of Lemi-Shine and the brass comes out clean and shiny. When I separate the brass and pins I do a good rinse in cold water. You will be amazed at how dirty the water comes out! I quick dry with a towel then pitch them on a cookie sheet in the oven at about 210 or so for a little bit to make sure they are good and dry. The best part is the primer pockets come out clean so you never have to mess with them again.

You will want to get one of the Frankfort Arsenal magnets to pick up all the pins. If you use the Lemi-Shine it only takes a pinch and more is NOT better. It will turn your brass a dull color if you put too much in it. If the caps leaks a little just take them off and put a little water around the rubber seal and it should stop the leak. I just do it every time I put it together now and haven't had a leak since.

Plus, if you can't put them in the oven because the wife disagrees and claims the oven belongs to her, put them in a dehydrator or lay them on a towel in the sun for a few hours.

You can use them for signalling aircraft if you get lost.

I cannot wait to get my own.

It makes it much easier to separate the pins and brass and rinse the brass off good. I set my bucket in the bathtub and let run water over it all as I spin the handle so it separates and rinses at the same time. The little magnet shown on that page is also very handy for moving the pins around and finding any strays.
 
Yeah but even the inside of the case and primer pockets will be clean as new. Just remember not to set them in the sun when your shooting! You don't want to blind everyone around you! :lol:
 
Wet tumbling is THE way to clean brass. Like Hardwoodmaterials, I put my Dillon media separator in the tub, get the shower wand down and rinse my cases while I turn the separator. Then I dump the water and rinse the pins again. I just leave the pins in my separator till next session.

Havent tried it yet. Just ordered the separator and magnet today and I need to run to Walmart to pick up some Lemishine. Expect to try it out this coming weekend.
 
If the tiny marks on the edge of the case mouth bothers you just trim, chamfer and deburr after you clean them. I always chamfer and deburr the case mouth so the tiny spots doesn't touch anything either way.
 
Finally got this thing together and gave it a whirl. Two hours and brass looked as good, if not better than new. Small learning process to the entire thing and a little sloppy. But next time will be easier. Overall a vast improvement to using dry media.
