If anyone is looking for Dolgo Crabs. I found a lot of them (6-8ft)at youngs nursery in Gallatin. Just a heads up for anyone looking.

I thought you might be interested. Yep! Youngs, between Gallatin and Hendersonville on 31 (gallatin rd).

I bought 3 the other day, good size, and man they had a ton of them!

I believe they were around 20 bucks. Not the cheapest, but they are really close to the house for me. They have a lot of them.

Steven, how many do you have? do you like them?

I have 6 now. Not producing, they are about 7 feet in their 2nd year from a 2 foot bareroot planting. They are growing at the same rate as my other grafted crabapple varieties. Supposed to hold the fruit alittle longer than my others. My Brandywines I know drop around 1st September(or at least they did this year), Transcendents are supposed to be about the same or aliitle earlier. Nothing wrong with dolgo's, good disease resistance.

I would like to get some Transendents as well. I put out one Callaway last year, didnt do anything this year though (7ft). The drought took a toll on some of it.

Hey did you see where you can get southern crabs free from the NWTF?
