Guys, my original post was misleading, my neighbor killed this one. I knew he was there and he was hunting with me, It was my gun and my stand, but I didn't pull the trigger. Sorry for the confusion and heres a lil better pic. My good deed is done, now Im carrying my gun, well that is unless my boys take it from me! ;)

Public land here in East TN. by the way!
I think next week will be the best hunting we have had here in yrs if the forecast is true!
 
Pretty buck! Congrats to your buddy and on your choice of stand sites. I think we're a little behind you as far as the bucks being just about ready. If the cold weather comes like predicted I figure Thanksgiving on should have them running.

I haven't got his jaw out yet but from pics and experience with him he's atleast 4 and maybe 5. He had a bull neck but only field dressed 153 lbs I think it was. This is about average here for mature buck body weight but some we kill will hit 170 or more field dressed. I think his weight was directly proportional to the lack of acorns here this yr.

Im not an expert but at first look of his teeth I think he's 5.5
Will post a pic if I can remember it when I get home.
