After getting to work this morning, about 4:30 Eastern time, I was there about 2 hours when I noticed a commotion of people going in and out of the break room. Turned out a doe had been hit right in front of the building, and an officer arrived and had to put it down, with two shots, 😖 which upset the female engineer who was watching😬 But it was odd bc I've never, in 20 years of working there, seen a single deer in that area. It's pretty much all industrial, with just patches of trees, and the river across the street a ways. Just an odd occurrence for that area. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Dang!! At least it didn't hit your car 😂

Wow, that reminds me of a hilarious video... *SEVERE* language warning

I was actually worried that the officer may have ricocheted those shots into the parking lot and the building! He stood back a couple of yards and fired twice, I definitely wasn't comfortable with the angle he shot at. 😬

Didn't want to get blood on his uniform 😂

Saw the same thing here in front of DB a few years back. Cop had to shoot 3 times-( of course he had the most accurate handgun known to man -a Glock🤣) he was standing back like he was scared of it. I said "Dang dude - just go up there and shoot it between the eye and ear!" I even offered to do it but I know they can't hand off a service weapon..🤣🤣

Again, didn't want to get blood on his pretty little uniform. Swear to God cops are worse than women when it comes to fashion.
😂

I once had an 1985 Toyota four runner and driving to work I hit a 7 point buck . They are everywhere around our plant well where I used to work . After years of trying they finally let us bow hunt . I've killed quite a few there with two pretty decent eight points . A real nice 140 class nine point handcuffed me one morning. Came in right down the path I always did because I'd never seen a deer come that way simply because I thought the best I could do I would still stink it up . Got drawed on him but he was going away from me and could maybe hit him with a neck shot from behind but kept thinking he may turn but he didn't until well out of range. Now ...to my story 😁
Driving to work hitting that deer I called the sheriff's department so they could come and give me a accident report for my insurance. Met the deputy at the sight where I hit the buck . Didn't have cell phones at the time so that's my reason for calling them at the plant . But after looking at the buck realized he's still alive but can't move . It was on my mind but quick thinking deputy said I really need to him put out of his misery. I said yes that'd be great . He got about a couple feet from the deer's head and fired off a round . He looked at me and I returned a look and said " I belive you missed 😁 . He missed at basically point blank . Glad you work for Bradley Co...he just laughed and got closer and finally killed him . I asked him if he knew anyone to take this deer I don't want it ...I had killed several that year but hated to see it waste . He said his son may take it...so I went to my truck were all my hunting gear was because the season was still open . Got my trusty hunting knife and latex gloves began gutting the deer while co workers came by with me in the ditch with the deer. Don't think his son took the deer but he took it to the justice center for the inmates to eat . Just thought it was funny how our boys in blue couldn't hit a target that close 🙄 you really feel safe by seeing his shooting ! 🤣

Yep. We're hunters, not cold blooded killers. 👍🏻 I still can't believe I let this guy walk in 2023. He came in fast and stopped at about 15-20 yards, then slow walked around me. He had a broken main tip, but otherwise would have still been one of my top 5 ever bucks. Sometimes the awe overcomes the kill I guess.
