Went out early yesterday. Got access to 10 acres of heavy woods between 2 fields a half mile from my house. It's a busy secondary road and the area is overrun with deer. My family had gotten 5 in the last 3 years. 2 with bow, 1 with muzzy, 1 with Sequoia, and 1 with 4 Runner.
I went in early without a light because I know the spot so well. I went 200 yrds in overlooking a draw/funnel that's been productive. All morning I heard squirrels tearing up the leaves just out of site behind me. At 11;00 I quit and started out. At the edge of the woods I find a white oak that had just started dropping acorns. Leaves were all torn up on the very trail I used going in. Some of those "squirrels" had left some droppings too....
I guess I'll be squirrel hunting with a bow Fri night... :twisted:
