As if it isn't hard enough to hunt in this heat, I had dogs to contend with this morning.
Arrived at my stand at 0530 to a PERFECT wind, and there was dog going crazy in the woods to the East. He ran a few deer right behind my stand. Then he, or another, started in behind me and worked them past my stand in front of me. They kept this up until the sun came up, and I saw nothing the rest of the morning. Very unusual to not seen anything on this property.

I pulled a camera card about 500yds away and lo and behold, there were 4 dogs on the camera running back and forth at a creek crossing I've been watching. They were at this from 0300-400. Busy night for 4 dogs I've seen or heard before.

Hopefully this was a random occurrence.
 
Maybe they won't be back. They're just out having fun. I've never got too worked up over dogs, but then again i haven't had that many encounters out of them while hunting.
 
I have encountered a ferrule cat while hunting a couple of years ago. It didn't go well for the cat

I checked the cards on my cameras a week ago and had 3 pics of 5 or 6 different dogs. I know that at least 3 or 4 don't have collars. May be strays. I don't know.
 
They were likely just having fun no worries most domestic dogs will not eat deer.
 
they wont eat them.but they will run them out for a long distance.I have seen it done before.as long as they don't keep doing it everyday you'll be fine.
