They are really wreaking havoc on my plots.Ive killed 2,just by keeping my 22 rifle with me.Thinking about trying to trap em,wonder what to use for bait???Anyone else seeing this type of damage?This is all relativly new,since December Id say.

The armadillo population is exploding in Perry county, Kill everyone you see. I saw 2 all year last season and this season I saw about 2 every hunt.
 
need to start killin them thangs...We went a few years where we'd see them alot we killed off as many as we could. No one killed any this year I don't even think anyone saw one. They are still there though diggin up a storm

That is what my plots and the yard around the house looks like - you can't hardly walk across the yard without turning an ankle. I wish the things were more active in the daytime so you could put a hurtin' on them more effectively!
 
FH, shot one Saturday myself. 5shots in him before he died. They are gross creatures for sure. I started carrying my .22 with me As well.
 
Armadillos on my place this year, first sign I ever seen on the place. Thought it was hogs at first...
 
And sometimes it takes two rounds of 20 gauge to put them down. Especially if they're angry.

That's how I found out that under the right circumstances even I will run away from an armadillo.
