I've never bought anything off of gunbroker but had my eye on a Winchester Model 70 Stainless Featherweight .243. I put a bid on it last night with my max bid being the same as the Buy it Now price. The auction ended this morning but I had my kids at the dentist and didn't get to check back and somebody used the Buy It Now feature to swipe it. It was only $40 more than the minimum bid and I think now I royally screwed up by not doing that myself. Guess that's what I get for being cheap. Ok so now back to the drawing board. Watching a couple others now and even the Extreme Weather editions. Time will tell.

DA...Negative on the Remington. Got one now and probably going to put a youth model stock on it after I get another and give it to my son. First rifle I ever owned was a Winchester model 70 30-06 and I've got it in my head to get another one. It's the Ranger model and I've still got it because my parents gave it to me.

jetwrnch...Never owned a Tikka but everybody raves about their accuracy. I just can't get over the hollow plastic piece of crap stock. It just feels like junk to me.

HatchieLuvr...Yeah I know I should have just used the Buy It Now and been done. That price was minimum of $100 cheaper than any others I've seen there and just under $100 less than what buds has it listed for. Oh well live and learn.

Still looking so if anybody sees one let me know.

Wasn't meant to be right now. I have done the same thing so many times it ain't funny. When the time is right and the price is right you will get the rifle you want. Just takes some patience and perseverance.

24hourcampfire is my go to site for buying and selling. Gunsamerica is second and usually cheaper than gunbroker. The Tikka is available with a Walnut stock for the same price. I like the plastic stock because I'm rough on guns and I duracoat them a butt ugly camo. They do their job and weigh under 6 pounds. The plastic stock is noisy though when it hits a jacket zipper or similar.

Gunownersclub doesn't have the volume/selection available as the other sites. But, they're all TN guns meaning you can find one close to home, or if it's half way across the State, you don't have to jump through all the legal hoops for shipping.
