CZ 513 Squirrel load tests

if tomorrow was the 28th I would take the Stingers and the 513,,but I have more cheap ammo to try and the 452 to test also,,all groups are 5 shots at 50 yards,dime sized targets with 2-7 Weaver Rimfire Special scope

I am tickled so far,first bench fired groups I have shot with this rifle

them Stingers are LOUD for my liking to hunt with,,hopefully I find a standard or subsonic load it will hold on the dime at 50 yards,,that may be a tall order for cheap ammo,,

Have you tried the CCI segmented HP's? They are a dandy little hunting rd.

no,,but I will be going through Mount Juliet Thursday and plan on stopping and trying to find some more different kinds of rimfire ammo,,

does PMC still produce the Zappers??

As far as I know. Those are some good rimfires too.

Looks lika a shooter. I read alot about CZ guns. I want to shoot one someday. Maybe I would buy one!

I never had a rifle that would group the Stingers at all-at least that was the case years ago. Maybe they have been improved some. I use the Rem subsonics because they shoot good in all my rifles and are somewhat quieter and relatively cheap. I would like to get a suppressor for one of our CZs and use the subsonics for hunting squirrels-that would be super. Looks like the Farmer shoots the Rem ss good too-don't know how many groups you fired but it generally takes 10-15 rounds to coat the bore with the 'new' bullet lube and get best results. PH

Same as PH on the Stingers here and most other CCI's.I have had good luck with there Quick-Shock. The same Vel an bullet weight as the Stinger but different bullet design. I might just have to get a box stingers and try them again myself,after seeing this.

I have always faired very well with Win T-22 in all 22's. Might also try there farily new Sub Sonic LR shoots better than the Rem in one of 2 tried in.

My Iver Johnson holds super tight groups with the Remington Yellow Jacket HP's.

Rem Sub Sonic does well in my rifles and pretty quiet to boot.

My 452's favorite load is wolf match target. That's what I hunt with. CCI Blazer shot very well, along with centurion. I couldn't get any other CCI to shoot as well, although I havn't tried them all.

Winchester Power Point HP are awesome loads you should try. Most accurate 22 LR that I have shot out of every gun I have tried them in.
