Has anyone upgraded there trigger on their 22lr American? I'd like some feedback if possible. I've found a timney for $99.
Thanks

Re: Cz 452 trigger upgrade

a decent gunsmith can take a file and change the springs and make the CZ trigger really good without buying anything,,,IMO better than the Timney or Rifle Basix triggers,,

go to rimfirecentral on the CZ/Brno subforum and search the 452 trigger upgrades..

This.. 100%.

I'm no expert, but I fixed up my 452 Lux trigger and love it. No way I'd spend money on after market trigger for that gun.

I do mine myself also ,,the 1st couple I did with a file and the last 5-6 with the DIP adjustable sear,,,the ones I hunt with have no creep and set at about 18 ounces,,the ones I target shoot with are 8-10 ounces,,

and I have one John Langely 1.5 ounce BR trigger that is like a Jewell BR trigger on my Brno 4 which has the same trigger as the latter made CZ 452 rifles,

I have a 453 with the set trigger and it's very nice. I'd let a gunsmith work on it before you buy a different trigger.

those 453`s are very nice,,they have the same trigger as the 527 and you can set it up with a good clean 2 lbs regular trigger and push it forward for a 5-6 ounce set trigger,,I would hang onto that 453 for sure,,

CZ should put the adjustable sear in the rifles from the factory,,it would make things a lot simpler..

Most people won't spend the money on a cz and they are missing out on a great rifle.

I've always wanted one and a buddy sold it to me. It actually shoots a lot better then my other 22's but think a lil trigger upgrade will make it really shine.
Very glad I finally have one [emoji106]

Re: Cz 452 trigger upgrade

Got the gun back from the gunsmith today and the trigger is set a a very crisp 2.5lbs. I am extremely happy with it. It shot very well before and look forward to shooting it this weekend.
Big thanks to mr big as he was a lot of help! The CZ bug has hit me & I foresee a 22 wmr in my near future lol
