Tested 5 types of ammo today to determine which will be used for final sight in. shot at 52 yards @ 93 degrees and 90 percent humidity. didnt mike it out but i am pleased. bulk pack winchester high velocity hp is my choice. best groups came with superx solid pts (as always), but i dont use solids for squirrels. i will sight in next thursday at 40 yards for next weekends hunts, hopefully the humidity will be lower. this gun always shoots great but the fine crosshairs on the little leupold 2-8 sure makes aiming more precise. i dropped the trigger to below 2.5 lbs and it is a little light but i will get use to it before long . first group is 5 shots and the second group is 10. Dime in photo for reference

the 513 and 452 my kids have ,has made a believer out of me,,they remind you of what Rem and Win used to make 75 years ago,,

my next gun buy will be either a 452 Lux or a 550 FS 308,,probably the 452 Lux,,so I would be able to afford to shoot it,,

I let the backwards safety keep me from buying one for a long time, same with the backwards power ring of the Ziess Conquest,,no more,,CZ has won me over..

They are amazing guns. I love my cz 527 as well. I love their 550 prestige, they seem a tad heavy

i have laid my 527 in 223 on a great many a song dog, bobcat and fox that came to a calling. beautiful, balanced, lightweight rifle. perfect for calling east of the mississippi. if cz would scale down their 550 and put it into a short action rifle at about 6lbs, they wouldnt be able to make them fast enough.
