All this talk about CWD and what you will do, etc. got me to thinking. Next year, if they extend the season in the "Hotzone" again, anyone that has decided to quit hunting, If you own the land, or can retain permission to hunt even if you know you are not going to hunt, let me know. I will come a couple of times and hunt. :tu:

I will test all deer and eat any non-positives.


I would hate to see good land just sit there un-hunted as I'm sure you would too. You're welcome! :lol:

I say this jokingly, but in all seriousness, if you really don't want to hunt due to CWD, I will hunt and shoot a deer or 3 if you don't care. I will test, but it doesn't scare me as bad as it seems to some on here.

Why not just hunt and have what's killed tested ?

Why not just hunt and have what's killed tested ?

Depends on how far I have to go to get them tested, and how confident I (and more importantly my wife) is with the testing. Depends on if CWD is found in closer to me. I have some pictures of some sick looking deer this year and it didn't look like EHD, and since in my opinion not enough is known I may not hunt anymore. Plus I have 7 girls, a mortgage, farm, full time job, etc, hunting has moved down the list of priorities. The only reason I've hunted the last 5 years is for the meat. I'm not saying I definitely won't hunt, but I am seriously considering it.

Will do BC. I nearly offered this year since I was basically unable to hunt since I had to work six days most weeks and don't hunt on the Lord's Day. After Thanksgiving I think I only hunted one hour.
