Cva optima load?

Hey Guys I put a new scope on my optima so I figured it was time to play with My load and try different bullets. I have been using 100 grains powerdex and cva bullets(270 grain ) I also got some shockwaves to try out also. Should I try 777 or Blachorn 209 and is it worth the extra money?

My Optima likes a 250 gr. Shockwave and 2 Triple 7 pellets.

I like the 350 grn FPB in my optima, same 2 pellets of 777.

This one here at the house likes 80 grs. of 2f Goex with the Lightfield Alpha Gold 300's.

try the cva slick loads the shoot just like a power belt but do a better job on deer

thats interesting to hear Hoyt. Could you tell us about your hunting experience with the slick loads and the damage they did? I've only tested them for accuracy so far but would love to get some detailed info on how they performed in deer.

100gr of 777 and a 300 gr FPB,works for me

Mine loves the Barnes 290gr Barnes Spit-Fire TMZ ahead of 90gr loose Piro.Did I say Barnes?

killed a buck last year with the hornady FPB 300g with two 777 pellets. shot was from about 40 yards, he ran thirty. Double lung.

I did get the Thor .51 loads in 250g. They are supposed to act like the Barnes TSX bullet. I hit paper the only time I shot them at 100 yards but have some more work to do with it since my scope was for the above 300g..
