Got her done yesterday! Stock is Maple and I used LMF Nut brown and LMF Walnut to do the staining, Many hand rubbed coats of Truoil for the final finish was applied. Very happy with the results on this one. Ordered a new ramrod for it today from deer creek so hopefully next week she'll be 100% complete and ready for a new home.

Thank you gents, I appreciate the comments. I love the rifle, almost to darn afraid to shoot it ever again.

I don't think I would ever shoot it again, wall hanger imo, if I did shoot it, it would be at the range & not hunting. The truoil finish does hold up very well to hunting conditions but you don't drive the vet thru the woods lol

Shoot it. Carry it in the woods. Hunt it. It's a gun and it's what it's meant to do. Like a hunting dog that they take to shows but not hunting. It's just not right.
