I was out today looking around at a couple pawn shops for a air compressor, and stumbled on this cva electra. It has never been shot and in excellent condition for 175. So I picked it up, and shot it when I got home. It shoots really nice, and not a bad price. My son is going to enjoy it, I got it since he doesn't have one.

I wonder why they dropped off the market?

I had one, and the only reasons I can think of are that they are finicky on ignition (at least mine was), and that there is just insufficient demand for that technology (just like Remington's short-lived Model 700 Etronics). To most people, the supposed benefits were just plain outweighed by the perceived shortcomings.

Not sure about other states, but they are illegal here in Iowa.
