Cut cornfields

This may be dumb but I have no idea so I'll ask it.

The big cornfield I was hunting off of in the woods has been all cut and harvested. I dont know how long ago other than it couldn't be more than two weeks. So what will this do for deer coming to that field? Will they still come to get dropped stuff or will they try to find something else like oaks?

Yeah they'll keep coming to it. There's more waste grain in there than you might initially suspect. They'll pick through it for quite some time.

They just bed down in the corn and then just get up to eat, with it cut they will be in the woods more but still feed in the cut corn. Hunting after the corn is cut is so much better from my experiences.

My landowner would plant a field every year and use the corn for other things, he would come in and cut the corn use what he wanted and and let the rest stay in the field.
We would hunt that field without any luck but we would kill deer in the woods sometimes as much as 800yrds from the corn. They would feed at night and go lay down in the early morning.
We know this cause alot of the deer we killed around the field would have corn in their stomach.
We learned not to hunt the field but hunt travel corridors several hundred yards from the field.
