Can't help with the crappie, but after leaving the water, if you're hungry, stop by the little restaurant on the south side of the exit. The best cheeseburgers you will ever buy.
Crappie have been extremely tough to catch in that area since the water froze up.
I fish 2 or 3 afternoons a week with one of the best crappie fisherman in that area and he is struggling big time right now, which is uncommon for this time of year.
Now the water is all the way up to summer pool and muddy. I think it will be a week or so before they get right again. We went Friday afternoon and kept 12 and yesterday from 630-230 and only had 3 keepers.
Reports on the north end of the lake are much better. Hearing of several guys catching limits in Big Sandy.
