Crush rib sabots worth it ?

Out today trying out some new bullets and hard to get down it not the word for it. Thought I was going to have to get a hammer and hit the ram rod to get them seated. Don't want to go out and buy a bunch of crush ribs if they are not worth it. If you happen to have a few in black 50 caliber for 45 cal bullets I only need 3 or 4 to try. PM if you can help me out. Even as hard as they were to get down my old Knight MK85 still put them in the center.

There is no standard when it comes to MZ bore sizes. Some can be slightly larger than others. Thats why some bullet/sabot combo's are "loose" and some are too tight of a fit. Both can cause accuracy problems. I suggest using MMP sabots. If you have a particular bullet you want to use, call or email them and tell them what your shooting, and they can tell you what sabot will fit best. I just switched to Barnes bullets. They use MMP sabots with all their MZ bullets. I did my research on what bullet/sabot combo to use, but emailed Barnes to make sure i was correct. They responded the next day and said i was right. I also have a MK-85. Its about 17 yrs old. I bought the 285 gr Spit Fire MZ. But they have several different combo's that will fit a Knight perfectly. You betcha. They made things easier in my Knight DISC and Savage. Really recommend them to anyone wanting to ease the loading effort without sacrificing a snug fit to insure a relaible ignition.

Yes..... At $6/50 they don't break the bank..all I used when I had my omega.. Used them with shockwaves, pt gold, and Barnes expanders.. I use them today in my savage smokeless.
