crossing buck trails??

I found a great spot to hunt, I put a tree stand up in a small hard wood patch surronded by old clear cuts and a nice feild on top. Now the problem is I have to cross a nice buck trail twice where he got rubs and scraps on it. All his trail lead toward the top and to the feild, the trails I got to cross is on top. no trees up there to hang a stand and no matter which way I go I will be crossing some trails. what is the best way to do this without spooking them? scent cover or what?
 
Just set up to where you can shoot before he reaches your ground scent. Circle past where you want to set up.
 
Have a very similar situation. A 50yd stretch of woods between large ag fields. Creek crossing also. dedicated pair of boots that never touch anything but ground. Tuck your pants legs in or up. Cross the creek and wash off boots. The best part is always walk the exact way in and out and of course never touch any trees or brush. Bucks usually stop and sniff it and continue on. Does are tougher. They stop backup alittle and sometimes do button hooks trying to avoid your leftover scent but eventually cross it and move on.
