Crossbows aren't rifles

They are moving this morning. Let my resident does walk by about 0745. At 0755 a small 4 pointer came in. I've had him on cam this week. He has bright white rings around his eyes. Live action, I saw he was walking with a limp on the front passenger. Figured I get him out of circulation. Lined my cross hairs just behind the shoulder and let fly. Well, I sighted my rifle in this week. Idiot me, forgot the hold over. Needless to say, he ran off and now I'm down a bolt, broadhead, and lighted noc. :bash: :bash:

I didn't use the drop compensator lines on my scope for the 45ish yrd shot I took. My shot was low.

Did you lose your bolt or did you make a bad shot on the deer? Usually if you shoot a deer below the vitals, they go clean through.

Bolt lost. No hit. He turned and ran without a flinch. I spent an hour looking for blood and searched just in case. Bolt lost in thick grass.
