Anyone have a crono in the Maury Co area I can shoot a couple of arrows through?
Want to see the diff in 50#-60# on my bow.
Thanks

Too many variables to answer your specific situation, but my hunting bow is set now such that from 20 to 30yds my arrow drops 5.21". If I decrease the draw weight by 10# the drop from 20 to 30yds becomes 6.28". Those calculations are per an archery software program. I don't shoot well enough to measure that little bit of change.

That's a speed loss of 18fps and it results in 1.08" drop within a normal effective whitetail hunting range. That's why I don't worry much about speed for my hunting bow. If you're better at a lower poundage you need to shoot there.... my .02 anyway.

I don't shoot well enough to know the difference either. That is why I was asking.
Not between 55 and 60# on my bow.

I dropped down just below 60# for most of my hunting seson, and did fine.
IMO faster arrow speed is overrated. At least for the hunting I do with shots at deer no farher than 35 yds.
I pratice out to this dietance, and set this as my max.
