In good shape this spring. Around my area, the Duck River has
been up several times in the last few months. To me, it seems
like the creek fishing is always better after high river water.

In the last few years the droughts have really hurt, but I think
the good stream fishing is coming back. I know most fisherman
nowdays are bass boat, flying down the lake, in a hurry to see
how many pounds you can boat, but I love the solitude and
quietness of cool and clear creek.

Oh yea, sometimes you catch a good smallmouth too.

Hopefully they make a comeback. We used to wear them out before we had the drought years on bitsy bugs and flukes during the spring and in the summer on a buzz bait. Had an absolute blast and wish they would come back to the way they were.

RKenney, Ive never fished the Duck, but since Ive begun to hunt Yanahli I plan on fishing the river too.
Do you know how dangerous it is, Ive been told its a pretty risky boat ride? What tips can you give to me on fishing it. Im happy fishing from the bank or the boat.

Going to introduce my boy to some creek fishing this summer. We've been doing the park thing at Montgomery Bell, but he will get introduced to Turnbull and the Harpeth rivers this year.
