I have a good sized creek that feeds into the Obed right across from Catoosa WMA.

Anyone know if that area is worth taking a good look at? I can't seem to find any historical maps to see if there has been any past action / camps/ etc in the area...

anybody know where to start?

I have no idea about the area but if you want to just look in the creek in the sand or gravel bars for flint, if you find pieces or chunks of flint that appear to have been chipped or knapped, then that's a good sign there may be points in there because chipped flint pieces means it was made into something.

I would think like catman said, start in the creek along any exposed gravel. Also that area has a bunch of overhangs along the river or at least catoosa does and if you have any of those where you would go to if it came a big storm to get out of it, you might look there. If you do have overhangs/cliffs/caves check the roof for burn marks from a fire. Good luck and keep us posted!
