Have a spot on my place,I have only been to it once I bet,no oaks in this 2 acres or so.KInd of steep,hard to get to place.So why not make it a cover spot,well,in January,Im not picking up a chainsaw now if I dont have too.2 acres enough to worry with?
 
Do you mean will it be effective in drawing deer? I think so. Id imagine cutting it will make it so a doe and her soon to be fawns take it over the next spring. Hunting the downwind fringe might be good during the rut.

But make sure you cut it all on the hottest day of the year. ;)
