I couldn't get my scope cross to adjust up. When I agjusted the lt rt it started moving up ALSO. Could this be cause by one adjust being maxed in one direction or do I need another scope?

You will get that on occasion if your scope isn't mounted level. The horizontal crosshair must be horizontal while the gun is level, or the shots will be to one side at distances closer than the zero yardage and on the other side longer than the zero distance.

on most scopes the elevation and windage adjustments are made by the same mechanics,,if it is adjusted all the way left or right it will not move up or down

center your windage knob by turning it all the way to one side, then count the revolutions it takes to get to the other side,,then go back half way,,then you should be centered,,if the scope wont adjust elevation after centering the windage something is wrong internally

Might try ligthly tapping it after adjusting they can sometimes stick, might have moved after firing or when you corected for l-r.

Didn't mention what range you was shotting at, up close have to turn them a bunch to move'em any. 1/4" per click @ 100 are 4X that at 25 2x @ 50,in case you or somebody else didn't already know.

Thanks guys. I wasn't shooting just bore sighting at 75 - 100 yds. Yes the scope is mounted wrong w ele adjust on the side BUT I took that into consideration. I can't adjust the levelness cause I don't have allen wrench. Its not my gun. Either way I'm pretty sure it was just stuck w the windage being pegged. I did get it bored center. We'll see what it does with rounds.

BTW its a Tasco...enough said.

Well, get the right allen wrenches and fix it or at least tell whoever it belongs to to get them and fix it. While I don't like Tasco, some of them are decent to good scopes and doing a fix of this scope's mounting might just save somebody some $ that they really don't need to part with, ;)

Of coarse it is a good excuse to do so. ;)

midway has simmons whitetail classic on sale for $109 til the 31st. I ordered mine yesterday. i read the reviews and out of 163 reviews only 7 were below 4 stars and prob only 15 of those were 4 stars and the rest 5 stars. More than one person stated they were almost on par with leupold for $1000 less. we'll see monday when mine comes in.
