Anybody catching any good crappie. My bro n law went last week and caught some nice ones around some trees.

A guy on the Chatt fishing forum caught a 3 pounder this week. We never have quit catching them...been a few slow days but the main this is not being able to fish where the crappie are due to sitting in the way of summer time pleasure riding traffic. It's about to get real fun where they really start feeding heavy.

Been catching them all summer at night. Don't have to worry to much about the pleasure boaters then. Last weekend was my last night out though as the winter drawdown on Douglas Lake making me uncomfortable to run at night.

Crappie have been hot all year on Douglas. Some of the diehards that switch to bluegill in the summer never let up this year.
