Crappie on Old Hickory!

Super! I went to the Hick this morning and hammered them shallow, 5' and less all on black head/red body/chartreus tail tube ligs with 1/16oz lead heads, slip bobber rig. Moving slow along the bank, drop that jig on every single piece of wood you can find an keep the jig tight to the wood. I had my slip bobber set at 18-24".
I have hit the jackpot this year on numbers and sizes and I thought last year was good. I have caught more 14" crappie than I ever have in a spawning season, they are really slabs. The last three weekends have been hot and I figured this weekend would be the end of it, but the water temps this morning were 57 in the areas I fished. It may hold on for another week.
