oh sorry, not to be confused with you Crappie Luck, I was just describing my day of fishing. :crazy: :D
Well I had to get rid of the remaining corn before vacation so I went to my spot, and instead of fishing from the bank I went out on a log pile 30 yards upstream.
Lots of buffs, some small grass carp, and plenty of gar, but I did not manage to hook a single carp. Bluegills are still too full of cicadas to actually eat the bait, they just picked it off too. Almost caught a gar with the rope lure but it's not working so great.
Anyway, it was a slow day of fishing, and finally near the end I tied on a beetle spin and caught a small crappie. So that's why I had crappie luck today. ;)
Wish me luck in the surf in about a week. We'll be in Cape May, NJ and I have to catch me at least a flounder for the table.
