Crappie fishin

Im not a stranger to fishing cause ive fished most my life but ive never tried crappie fishing. I mainly fish around pickwick and waterloo. Id really like to try and catch some this year so if anyone has any advice or tips you could share with me id appreciate it.

I would strongly recommend that you hire a guide for a day. I don't know anyone to suggest in your area, but check around and I'm sure you'll find one.

You'll learn a tremendous amount about crappie fishing in just a few hours. It's relatively simple, but like most things, there are ways to create better "luck".

If you want to do it yourself, I recommend getting some rod holders and get into spidder rigging. Many fish can be caught in Bear Creek. Concentrate on the edge of the creek channels right now.

Yeah id rather do it myself. I guess I should have been a little more specific. I really need help on the technique and how to tie a rig. I live just a few minutes from waterloo boat ramp so im very familiar with bear creek and second creek.
