Stuck this male pup this morning at 7:10. He came out of a grown up field and passed by me at 20 yards. I shot him at Ames Plantation in SW TN. There were some Univ of TN students there this weekend taking tissue samples from our deer for research purposes and one of them mentioned they would like to get a coyote from TN because they had a bigger coyote research project going on in GA. Knowing this, I ceased the opportunity when he presented himself. 20 yard shot, ran 5 yards or so then chased his tail in circles biting at the arrow for 1-3 seconds before expiring.

looks like you made a great shot. Congrats!!! I hate coyotes with a passion and NEVER pass on a shot.

take'n a coyote with a bow is a challenge ( & no I aint pulled it off ), but the real challenge is to call it up then squewer it.

i have done it a few times, but now only shoot them when the fur is prime and they are coming to a call

IMO, it takes a lot more skill to kill a coyote with a bow than a mature deer.

Good work there, Andy!

I wish I could say I've killed as many mature deer with a bow as I have coyotes.

That would put me at two

not taking anything away from your kill, but tageting coyotes with a bow is totally different than one happening by while deer hunting.

Congrats, kill them all!
