Coyote Hides

What do you yote hunters do with the hides?

I shot this beauty the day after Thanksgiving. I hate to let such a pretty thing rot, but I don't want to pay big bucks to get it tanned, either.

If you sell the hides, what are they worth these days?

I haven't heard this myself. But my brother mentioned to me somebody he knows in Woodbury is giving 100 bucks for the hides.

This was a year ago, almost,feb,2010,say they would even be lower now, i never heard a yote sell for 10o00

It's really interesting looking at these prices. Things sure have changed since I ran traplines as a teenager. Muskrats were worth about 1/5 of a coon and 1/10 of a coyote.

You can go to Taxidermy.net and watch the for sale section to get a ideal of what they are going for as taxidermy skins. Gotta be able to skin with out damage or you will piss off a lot of picky grown persons off real fast ...LOL
