Congrats on the kill! I shot 4 last week myself, 2 more taken by friends.

Although that head was probably from another hunter's kill, they absolutely will chase adult healthy deer.

In fact, I set up one morning on the ground at the head of an old graveyard, and 30 minutes before daylight, a coyote ran an adult deer 3 yards from me. The yotie was so close I could hear both him and the deer panting as they passed by. No way to get a shot on them with that little light and that close.
 
Wow that's crazy...
The yotes are bad on our lease this year, I hope to thin some out while I'm off work for 11 days come thanksgiving.

the land i hunt in perry is all logging land since rifle season i bet there are 20 carcuss littering the roads by a bunch of sorry butt hunters that just cant simply toss the remains in the woods they have to leave them on side of road

I have killed 13 so far this season. still have not killed a deer. Been leaving the meat hunting to grandson, and this has probably been my most enjoyable season in the last 15 years.
