Is the covert MP6 worth buying?

MP6 Black for $115 - absolutely
In my opinion, red IR flash cameras aren't worth buying anymore now that decent black flash cameras can be had for $100 - $120.
I'm stuck with about 12 red IR flash trail cameras that I wish I had never bought.
do you want to sell any of your ir cams cheap?Vermin93 said:MP6 for $100 - no

Anybody else feel this way about the night pics?Mr.Bro said:Daytime pics are great! Night pics suck.Miss my color nite pics but really like the long battery life.Give up a little and gain a little.
Compared to a white-flash camera--which takes color night pictures illuminated with bright white light--or an IR cam--which takes highly illuminated black and white pictures at night--a black-flash cam's night pictures ARE of poorer quality. Digital imagers aren't very sensitive to true infra-red light, hence the illumination distances are shorter (especially with the Covert MP6, which only has 40 black LEDs), and the aperture must stay open longer to allow more light to the imager--which causes moving objects to be blurred. But it's one of those "lose something to gain something" sort of situations. You lose night-time illumination distance and image quality to gain a lack of deer avoidance of the flash.gladeshunter said:Anybody else feel this way about the night pics?Mr.Bro said:Daytime pics are great! I know some deer get spooky on the flashes from IR and white flash...and some pay it no attention. But I don't tend to hunt real close to where these cameras are. I don't think mature deer completely leave the farm.
