First pull ever today. Have mp8 black. 1st 8 pics looked great, nice color, good focus. All the rest (several hundred
pics) were all blk and white and out of focus. Any help appreciated 1st time trail cam user.

I would put it on a shelf or counter in the house to see if it takes good day and night pictures (turn the lights off at night to test night pictures.) If you still have the same issues using it indoors, then I would call Covert. If it works fine inside, then I would try it again outside.

^^^^^^^THIS. Before deploying any new camera to the woods, I always strap it to a tree or set it up on a bucket and walk in front of it at various distances both in the daylight and after dark to see if it is functioning properly at that time. As Vermin stated, if you complete several "self tests" such as this and it continues to fail or fall short of your expectations, contact Covert and they will take care of you. They are known for great customer service. Keep us posted on how things go and shoot us any questions that you have. Best of luck.

Wanted to update that it was the card. Installed another card all the pictures this time were in focus and daytime color.
