Cover scent

Are there any of you that just don't use cover scent or scent away spray? Last year (and I'm thinking probably this one) I just washed my clothes in scent free detergent and just went hunting. After 2-3 hunts, I just wash them again. I just try to play the wind and I also take a shower w/ the scent free soap and scent free deoderant. For me, when I used the scent away spray (for years), I would notice a specific scent once it dried. I thought if I can smell it, the deer can too and may associate that "scent free odor" as danger. Just curious what you all do to be as invisible as you can while hunting...

I too try to be as scent free as possible, that said I don't use any type "cover" scent and haven't for many years now. Deer can distinguish several smells at one time, so in essence you smell like a human with Fox scent on your boots to a deer.

I wash my clothes in the dirt scent laundry detergent, put them in my hunting tote with a dirt scent wafer and maybe a few dirt scent dryer sheets and that's about all I do. I do not get into all the cover scents and everything else that comes out each year. Half the time I hunt in the same stuff that I stand next to the camp fire at night in camp. I pee from my stand, and even smoked a few cigarettes. I have no problem putting meat in my freezer and always seem to kill a few extra for boys at work that don't hunt but like the meat.

To be honest, Im 30 years old and I wear the same jacket and bibs that my parents bought me when I was 16. same rifle that I bought when I was 15. Gave dad the cash and he went to walmart and bought it for me. I buy a license every year and a box of shells when I get low. I don't have game cameras and one of my favorite stands has been strapped to the same tree for 9 years now. Call me lucky, call me crazy call me whatever but I have a good time during deer season and love every minute of it. To each there own but this is my way..
