Cousin kilt a good one - *Updated with score*

Deer movement has been great lately, but we haven't been seeing mature deer during daylight. I was a couple miles up river by boat this morning, and at 7:45 I got a "just shot a good one" text from my cousin. We had pictures of this deer last year but never during the day. He was following two does this morning.

I wanted someone else to measure him before I posted the score because I was even a little surprised when I added the numbers. I was guessing mid-high 150s. He's got great mass and great length and a huge body (181 lbs dressed) so just by looks it's hard to really tell how big he is. He was measured separately by two different people. Both were within 2 inches of each other. The score at the bottom is the lowest of the two.

If the TC pics are last year I'd say that deer is 5.5 or older. Score wise from pics I'd say around 148ish give or take 3 or 4 points. I might be way off and won't surprise me if he goes more. Will be anxious to see.

Either way that's a dandy buck.

Mature buck, with those long beams and spread, I'm going to say real close to 155. Congrats to him on a super buck!!

5 + and I'd say 155 plus that's a big deer with plenty of mass and spread.

My first guess was 164. That might be a little high but easily 150s. What a stud.

He looks 5.5 in the pics last year. I would say he will score over 150". Heck of a deer. Congrats to your cousin!

I've measured him and will post the score tomorrow. Not trying to build suspense, I just want to have someone else measure him to double check before posting.

As for age, who knows. I know he's mature. I guessed him at "4 or 5" last year. I think he gained a little length and mass, but overall didn't change much. I'll post jawbone pictures when it gets pulled.
