this top pic was from a cam that was out for 45 days and only took 600 pics. it was in a area with low deer density and on public land also. we got pics last year of the buck on the left. he was running around last year with the 5.5 yo i killed, guess he found a new buddy to hang with.

this pic was took on private land and the cam was out for 43 days and took 3900 pics. there are a ton of deer on this property. this buck is a dandy for the area.

we have not had any problems with cams on public land, but the land is small and overlooked by most, plus it's real steep and most won't even try to hunt it. never had anything stolen (cams, treestands, etc.). funny thing is we have had several things go missing on private land.

and yes we do have salt holes in a couple of public land spots, mainly to try and get some pics during the summer.
