I've been tossing around whether or not I'd shoot a Jake on the last day. But there was no hesitation when this yote came trotting in. Took a full load of #6 at 15 yards, and I still had to finish him off with my knife! I had to hold my boot on his neck so he wouldn't get up and run off. The joker was howling while I was standing on him. Yes that's where the wad landed too. I got it on video

I shot one in 2013 with mag blends and she ran off and then i found here about 200 yds away dead a few days later, but it appeared that vultures and other critters may have dragged her some. They are tough for sure.

That's awesome! I would say very few people have held them down with a boot while they were howling at them! Would love to have seen something like that.
