Wish I could be there with ya. Went yesterday in the wind and saw does and fawns. The bucks have gone underground for me. Shoot a biggun.

I was in a shallow thicket between 2 grown up fields, didn't see anything.

I was hunting a narrow timbered draw adjacent to a thick bottom and between a cutover and a thick, thick 18 year old pine planting. I have 2 different trees I climb to hunt; one on the west end near the bottom they travel through and the other about midways the length of the draw. I was on the end. The 11 deer I saw all passed within feet of my middle tree. As best as I could tell the 3 times I saw deer they were all does and fawns. No shots. Everyone of them was on the run. I think the buck/s are holed up in the thick pines (where all these deer headed). When I climbed down I went around to the back side of them. Every time I've hunted the bottom the deer I see are headed to the pines from there as well. There's one narrow lane that runs the length of the pine planting and I cleaned up a tree to climb if I decide to hunt there. Unless something pops out and stops I won't get a shot and it'll be a boring hunt staring down that 6'wide lane. That's all you can see. I hunted from there when the pines were short enough to see into. I had deer bed right under me then and as best as I remember I saw something like 17 different bucks. The good old days...
