All of the farms here rotate every year, corn one year and beans the next. I prefer to hunt over beans because you can see the deer, standing corn provides them a place to hide....put a deer on edge of standing corn and he can disappear in two steps...what I have noticed is the deer are more calm when corn is standing, when the beans are out they tend to be more jumpy.
I kinda have the best of both worlds because one farm i hunt and the neighbor are on opposite schedules as far as beans this year on my property and corn on neighbors...I hunt the fence between the two....when our season opens oct 1 I will be sitting in my stand till after dark...cause that is when they seem to hit the beans...
