i was one of them boats. we had 4 that went 7 lbs. the fish were biting like crazy, we caught about 30, just not the right ones.

Dad and Uncle are on center hill right now water temps 67 and seeing a few catching some Kentucky slabs though, We are going to shoot Watts Bar in the morning, 70 water temp today and some water staining but bro said they are cruising the banks crazy!
 
Keep an eye on the water color for me gents I know its a night tourney but if you can see 2 1/2 feet in the water its good enuff fer me to kill carp
 
Spit, I know of a slough they gather in up around the refuge where I've seen them in the hundreds during turkey season. Saw several in it two weeks ago as I was walking by. Be glad to show you on a map.

close to refuge would have to be roaring river ramp or whites bend ramp. there is also a place in between these 2 ramps that you can put a jon boat in (actully 2 places) 1 is at the golf course and 1 is at cubb creek, hard to find unless you know alot about the hull though. water temp was in mid 60's which is down some from last week.

Yep. I put my little boat in at the golf course. The spot I'm talking about is just up river from the 262 bridge, probably closer to Whites Bend.
 
Is it the first pocket on the right above the bridge that does not even look like much water until you get in it? There is a camper or some sort of building there that the Corp or TWRA has. (not wanting to shoot carp there, just curious)

yep and it cost us alot. on the way home around 8:30 we ran over a cow that was standing in the middle of Flynns Creek road. when we come around the curve there were 3 big black cows standing there and with a 21' Triton with a 225 stopping on a dime was not an option. we are both ok but the truck and boat trailor are not. somehow the boat came away with only a few minor scratches. i could have reached out the passenger side window and grabbed the stirring wheel of the boat.

i know the guy that owns the cows and they are always out and it's been that way for as long as i can remember. my buddy is gonna try to get him to pay up.

Yeah, that is it. That is where they keep the equipment they use on the refuge.

That is bad. I saw a boat at johnsons was that it. man i bet the truck looks bad. Yea i would be trying to make the owner pay up too. Glad yal didnt get hurt.
