My boss is good friends with a guy that lives in brooks bend. A few coworkers hunt whites bend. I've hunted whites bend a few times but haven't been to brooks bend

Big or small, kill em all

i had permission to hunt the farm that is the 2nd place on the right as you leave brooks bend. it bordered the wma on the backside.

There's a little thumb of wma land that runs behind about a dozen parcels of private property. It has a couple gaps in it and you need a good GPS with land ownership downloads to stay on the wma. Been there, done that and will probably be back again this year.

it was a long uphill hike but i found a honey hole on the wma in the area you describe.

Get in there bow season after that they get hammered, people do alot of deer drives in sullivans bend and Brooks get lots of road hunters,

they are allowed to do deer drives on the wma?
I'd say you could but wouldn't recommend it.
Not very considerate of other hunters. I would be PO if a group of elmers were trudging all over me when not necessary.

do you need a wma stamp to scout the cordell wma right now anyone know?

Nope. Folks hike and ride horses on our WMAs at no expense so go scout all you want.

I rabbit hunted B-B this year after deer season,I didn't see a whole lot of sigh in or around the field edges and never jumped the first deer but it might be different up on the hill side,I seen more sigh at S-B and jumped 3-4 deer that day .

We killed 1 at B-B the only 1 we even jumped and we hit every field there. I think we had 4 runs at S-B and killed 3,Both hunts were in January so 2 months after rabbit season opened,Rabbit hunting wma and corp land is just like the deer hunting you better do it early in season because it gets hunted to death.

I Deer hunt it...
In the past 3 years the pressure has increased a LOT. There are deer there but you have to figure out how to hunt the pressure. BB is a nice big area with a lot of deer, good during bow, hard during gun seasons due to pressure and rookies wandering all over the place at all times of day. Just part of the deal hunting public land though. Every hunter I have talked with has been nice with none of the BS like at Priest WMA. It seems like everybody from E-Tn comes to CH to hunt unit L.

I don't think the WMA kill # have gone up much but our deer sightings have gone way down. In late January after the pressure is off, deer are everywhere like fleas on a yote but they react to pressure very quickly during season. Buck quality is average. Nothing special compared to other places.

If we cant find some new out of the way spots that don't get hammered this season, might have to look for a new WMA to hunt.
