I caught this catfish while flipping a green pumpkin brush hog.

We caught about 30 largemouth also but nothing over 3 lbs. the last few weeks have been tough. We have been catching several but not much size. The water temp in the creeks is 70 and on the river it is 60. Very cool compared to this time last year. Current on the river has been basically non stop.

thats cool to catch a channel on lure, cordell hull lake becomes a huge river when wolf creek and c-hull generates at the same time for weeks. floating cedars everywhere on the main channel, dangerous....

it is dangerous cause there are always logs floating. when it is windy and the water has a chop it is hard to see that stuff until you are on top of it. I barely dodged several things yesterday.

I remember back in the early and mid 70's, if you feel off your skis in the channel, you'd be turning blue before the boat could get turned around. There was tons and tons of debris floating in the lake all through the 1970s, especially when they were pulling even a little water. Rarely was it clear to go full throttle out across the channel. Dang good night fishing under the lights in Defeated Creek.
