Got a bunch of greens coming in. My hybrid broccoli (broccolini) is looking good, the spinach is a little slow, but all my lettuces are rockin'. I actually harvested a little lettuce already. Life is good.

I can't give it away fast enough now. I'm eating salad about every night, too. I don't hear much about lettuces and spinach on tndeer. I love it!

I dont care for salads but I bet that stuff is great on a sandwich. Looks good

No sir, you are a natural born killa, and you guys just eat lots of meat! it's about Bambi time, so good luck.

Some kinds of lettuce & greens are good when cooked & frozen. For example, Bibb & Romaine lettuce are high in iron & other vitamins and minerals and can be cooked (boiled or fried) bagged and frozen to be later used in soups.

Not gonna believe this, but I have never eaten brocolli I have grown myself. Every last time, the plants would bolt. Seems like a 2 degree spike in temperature and overnight, gone to seed. Not in the gardening much anymore, but any ideas on what to do?

I can't explain it. I have found broccoli to be one of the easiest to grow. I used to buy the plants, but now I plant the seeds. I cover it with plastic during winter, so it lasts until time to plant in spring. I have broccoli to eat about 8 months of the year.

Gil, if I ever find my way into your backyard you should have some kind of defense system because I will pick and eat broccoli right off of people's plants.

Oh, my neighbors do the same thing. I just try to grow enough for you snackers. By the way, congrats. on the doe.

Thanks man, that was a fun hunt. You slung an arrow at any big lease deer yet? Haven't heard from you much on Tndeer lately. Oh and congrats again to you and your wife on the twins.

Thanks.

I haven't hunted much at all, but I got lucky last weekend on a new lease I have in Stewart County. I need to get it all in now before the twin storm hits.

Oh yeah I did see that. Killed her with a sissy rage 3 blade..... My doe was bigger and went down with a fixed blade, good ole Thunderhead. ;)

You been fishing much lately? I am going to hit the cumberland tomorrow with my dad in pursuit of walleyes and whatever else I feel like fishing for.

I didn't actually shoot my doe. She just saw my Rage and committed suicide out of fear. :D

Nah, I don't have much time to play, so I pretty much throw all my eggs into the hunting basket until spring. But I'm glad you're getting after it.

Dang didn't catch a single fish. Only trolled for walleye but they weren't biting. A friend/member here was fishing too and caught a very nice sized walleye and a couple throw backs. good weather for being on the water, but I am ready to get back to hunting. Deer tomorrow evening, work saturday, then I am taking the scatter gun out to chase turkeys on sunday.

Oh and my doe didn't see the thunderhead, and I didn't shoot her either. She was upwind from me, but smelled the Thunderhead and ran off and drowned herself in the river.
