This only weighed less than half a pound but my little brother caught it using the boilies I made today. In fact we caught all our fish using the boilies, they loved it.

Think there are some koi genes in this one?

This pond has some cool genetics but the common carp are all very small, 5 pounds and under. Seen some black, orange/black, orange, common, and mirror carp in there. Unfortunately no grass carp tonight.
 
Tha's not a carp. That is what is known as a trick baby. You may have to google that. UI don't know how to esplain eet. The koi is kool.

It was real simple, no recipe but I can tell you what went in.

Flour, baking powder, vanilla, canned sweet corn, water, knead it into a good dough. Pinch small pieces and boil them till they are floating on the surface for a couple minutes. Then I spread them on a cookie sheet and baked for just a few minutes, so they werent as slimy. Then put them in a ziploc with a little peanut oil to keep them from sticking together.

Only thing I want to change with the boilies is to make them float a little better. Only a few of them floated with a #6 hook so I need to tweak it somewhat.

Oh and I'm sure the koi got in this pond because of people getting rid of their pets over the years. This one has too short a dorsal fin to just be a commonl
