Ok first of all I know I need a smaller pot to cook fish in.
Until then though I was wondering something.
I have to buy and use a gallon jug of peanut oil when I cook fish in order to have it deep enough to cook.
At $15.00 a gallon I would really like to re-use the oil. I figure I could at LEAST use it twice and maybe three times.
If I pour it through a strainer and then through cheese cloth it should be great to go for another batch.
My question is, after I do all this and get it back in the original jug, what do I do with it?
Does it need to be refridgerated?
How long would it be ok to keep before I cooked another batch?
Thanks.
